Description

National Airways Corporation's aircraft 'Popotea' was taken over from the RNZAF in June 1947, was modified and refurbished and introduced to the fleet as a DC-3. After being withdrawn from service with NAC on in 1965 it was operated by Airland (NZ) Ltd from 1966, then by Fieldair from 1978. It was withdrawn from service in 1981 and deregistered in 1983.
